Chandlers employee to chair water efficiency masterclass
Chandlers employee, Phil Barnard, is to chair a University of Brighton Water Efficiency in Building Network masterclass, which will take place at the BRE (Building Research Establishment) Trust in Watford on Wednesday 5th February.
The one day seminar entitled Retrofitting for Water Efficiency is designed to give delegates an insight into the future of water efficiency, the importance of the Water Label, an understanding of the cost benefit, and much more.
As the Technical Specification Manager for Chandlers, Phil Barnard has played a pivotal role in the development of the 'Chandlers Sustainable Solutions' brand, which offers a number of different eco friendly and water efficiency products.
He was recently recognised for his dedication by being named the Achiever of the Year at the Builders' Merchants Awards for Excellence.
Phil Barnard commented, "I'm delighted to be chairing the masterclass. With the strain on water resources and increasing cost to domestic households, there is a need to look at and push water efficient alternatives. There will be a number of different subjects covered on the day, which include the water labelling system, British Standards and rainwater and greywater harvesting, so it's sure to be informative for all that attend."
The BRE Retrofitting for Water Efficiency masterclass takes place at the BRE Trust offices in Watford on Wednesday 5th February between 10am and 4.10pm. Places are £75 + VAT and can be booked through www.bre.co.uk.
