Dog friendly charity tea party
The local community and their canine companions are being invited to 'Pips Fundraising Tea Party' - a tea party in aid of our Chandlers £50k Challenge appeal taking place at Hampers Green Community Centre, Petworth, on Sunday 18th August between 2pm and 5pm.
The Chandlers £50k Challenge is aiming to raise £50,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust in honour of Chandlers' employee Rob Sadler, a Cystic Fibrosis sufferer himself. Rob will be having a double celebration during 2013, marking not only 30 years of Chandlers' employment, but more significantly his 50th birthday; those with Cystic Fibrosis are not expected to live beyond their 30s.
Those attending Pips' Fundraising Tea Party, hosted by Rob's beloved Dachshund, Pips, will be able to buy a cup tea or coffee and a slice of cake or a cream tea, with all money being donated to the appeal. Pips will lay on some doggy treats for her four legged friends.
Rob Sadler commented, "We hope that it will be a chance for the local community to come together, enjoy the sunshine and help us raise some money for a fantastic charity all at the same time. It's such a beautiful spot and we maps of Petworth Park which show some of Pips favourite walks if anyone would like to do that before or after enjoying tea and cake. We look forward to welcoming everyone on the day. "
There will also be a fundraising raffle, as well at the opportunity purchase some photos that Rob, a keen amateur photographer, has taken of the local area; again all proceeds will go towards the Chandlers £50k Challenge.
Pips' Fundraising Tea Party takes place at Hampers Green Community Centre, North Street, Petworth.
