Martial arts academy can continue to 'build' thanks to our sponsorship
We have been a keen sponsor of Horsham based Kenagi Academy of Martial Arts since 2009 and we're delighted to be taking our support of the academy into a seventh year.
Our invaluable sponsorship helps Kenagi to continue to provide martial arts training to adults and children throughout the area, running classes in Horsham, Southwater, Storrington and Coolham.
2014 was another successful year for the martial arts academy with a number of members achieving their black belts. This year they will be hosting their own local competition, The Kenagi Event, which will involve both karate and kick-boxing, as well as members taking part in a number of other competitions across the South East.
Sensei Brian Redman, Kenagi trainer, commented, "A big thank you to Chandlers for continuing their support, it really does help to ensure that we can provide the amount of different classes that we do. I was delighted with the number of members that achieved their black belts last year, it takes a lot of commitment and it's great to see all the hard work pay off. There are a few competitions coming up this year, which I'm expecting our members to do well in, so we're looking forward to more celebrations in 2015.
"Karate is something that parents and children can learn together and our family classes are very popular, so if there are any families that would like to kick-start a healthy programme together, we would love to welcome them along."
Richard Skinner, Commercial Director at Chandlers, added, "We're delighted to be taking our sponsorship of the Kenagi Academy into a seventh year. It's important to us to support sport clubs that are local to our branches and we wish them a very successful 2015."
This year the academy will also be proudly supporting the campaign for karate to be included in the 2020 Olympics set to take place in Tokyo.
