Rally Winners in Fundraising Bid for Second Win
Last year a team from Chandlers comprising of Stuart Campbell and Trevor Mudd competed in, and won, the 2016 Vado Rally in aid of the Rainy Day Trust. This year the rally is being organised by Pavestone and all funds raised will be split between the Rainy Day Trust and the Teenage Cancer Trust with each team aiming to raise at least £1500. We will be entering the same team this year and aiming for the same result although we are expecting some stiff competition.
The conditions are that each car should cost less than £500 with a maximum team of 4. With over 40 cars taking part, the event runs over 4 days, starting in Dover, going via Luxembourg then on to Italy before finishing in Monte Carlo and on once again to Nice for an Awards Dinner.
Many silly antics will occur on route providing great entertainment for those around them as well as the teams themselves and of course its all in a good cause.
Plus great news – its' not too late to sponsor the Chandlers team in the upcoming Rally. They need all the help they can get as they are already onto their third car as the first one was never going to get an MOT before the start and the deal to buy the second one fell through. However you will be pleased to hear that even if you add up the price of all three then they will still be under the £500 budget and are now the proud owners of a maroon Mondeo (£155).
They will once again be redecorating the car (and themselves) each day in accordance with the daft themes chosen by the organisers. You can help the cause by making a donation, large or small, to help the Rainy Day Trust and the Teenage Cancer Trust.
