Schools needed to help with charity challenge
As part of Chandlers Building Supplies' £50k charity challenge the builders merchant is calling out to schools to get involved and help with their fundraising for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
The Chandlers £50k Challenge is in honour of Chandlers employee Rob Sadler, a Cystic Fibrosis sufferer himself, who will be having a double celebration during 2013, marking not only 30 years of Chandlers employment, but more significantly his 50th birthday. Those with Cystic Fibrosis are not expected to live beyond their 30s.
To help with the fundraising effort, schools could possibly hold a sponsored walk, or maybe a sponsored silence, hold a cake sale, or the children could pay £1 to wear their own clothes, or even their pyjamas to school for the day.
This is a great way for pupils to do something fun whilst raising money for a fantastic cause at the same time and, whatever the idea, Chandlers will fully support the school and ensure that their efforts are promoted to the wider community.
Richard Skinner, Commercial Director at Chandlers said, "We are extremely proud supporters of our local community and have been involved with a number of different school projects over the past few years. Everyone at Chandlers has fully got behind the £50k Challenge and we hope that our local schools will as well helping to ensure that this is something that the whole area can be proud of."
To hold a fundraising event or to request further information, schools can send an email, marked for the attention of Sally Bason, to email@example.com.
