Our Petworth branch has recently made a generous donation of timber and fencing materials to Bognor Regis Fire Station, to help with plans to build an on-site welfare area. The outdoor area will feature flower baskets, a bench and fencing to create privacy for the team to relax after incidents. Simon from our Petworth team made the delivery and the grateful crew helped him unload the materials.
James Hiller, our Petworth Branch Manager, who has a personal connection to the fire station having served for over 11 years in the fire service, was delighted to be able to donate materials. James commented: “When I heard about plans for the welfare area, I knew straight away I wanted to support this – I know how important a space this will become for the Bognor Regis fire team and how it will have a hugely positive impact on wellbeing of the crew there. As I have been part of the fire service for over 11 years, donating materials to this project really did feel important to me and I am so pleased to be able to have helped. The team works so hard and they are so fundamental to protecting our local community. Our donation just goes a little way to say a big thank you for everything they do."
